Creation Time - Day 1 - Impacts of the Urbanization

Day 1 - Impacts of the Urbanization

The Lord sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. (2Sám 12,1)

Nathans’s parable is a juridical parable. The situation when a rich and a poor mand live next to each other, today it can be a typical situation in any city. The prophets were always insightful. They were opened to moral and social problems, therefore they consciously chose the environment for their messages, where the real problems were actually occured. They bring on their problems and they have sentenced the phenomenon of urbanization about 2-3 thousand years ago and put us wise to the numerous negative consequences. The propeth Isaiah writes that: Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field till no space is left and you live alone in the land” (Ézs 5,8) This behavior not only can be affected to the human relationships, but also have a negative impact to the soil fertility. (Ézs 5,10) Drawing-away from God is the reason and the consequence of this problem at the same time.
